As I look around the Body of Christ, I am literally amazed at the panic that has been created by this “plandemic” called the “Corona Virus” or “COVID-19.” This panic has not just affected the world, but it has also crept into the Church in an astounding way! As Carla and I continue to pray and seek the Lord on this matter, I am drawn to what the Apostle Paul had to say concerning the “Mind of Christ.” Now I want you to please understand where I am coming from, what I am about to share with you is not criticism, but simply an OBSERVATION. The majority of the Christian World has allowed fear to grip them and enter into their lives, all in the name of using wisdom, when it’s not wisdom at all, it’s fear! What this really boils down to is, “Do we believe God’s Word or not?” We say we are “BELIEVERS,” but we act as though we don’t believe anything but what the mainstream news media tells us.
The Apostle Paul tells us in Philippians 2:5 “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” Way too many Christians are not allowing the mind that was in Christ to be in them. Instead of thinking thoughts of Christ, they are thinking thoughts of fear and panic. Throughout the Bible, the Lord tells us not to fear and don’t be afraid. “Fear has literally taken over the minds of God’s people.” I can understand this happening in the wicked world we live in, but the Bible tells us that “we are not of this world.” But sad to say the Church has fallen right into the trap of the enemy and they are walking in fear just like the world. I am waiting to see, When will TRUE MEN AND WOMEN OF GOD STAND UP AND SAY TO THE CHURCH, “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH?”
Paul goes on and tells us in First Corinthians 2:16, “For who has known the mind of the Lord, that He may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ!” Did Paul lie to us? Do we really have the mind of Christ? Was Paul just trying to deceive the Church? Can we really have the thoughts of Jesus and operate in a fearless, panic less way of living? Jesus time and again tells us to “FEAR NOT!” The life of FAITH, I have found out after being a Christian and walking the FAITH LIFE for nearly 40 years now, it’s a life that we live daily and not just on Sunday or Wednesday. It’s a life of praying every day. It’s a life of reading and studying the Word of God every day, even when you may not feel like doing so. It’s a life of confessing what God’s Word says about you every day. The believer must train their flesh to ignore the things of the world and ALWAYS look to the Word of God. We say that God’s Word is “FINAL AUTHORITY,” but we live as though the Bible were just a fairy tale.
I want us to look at the 91st Psalm.
1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most-High shall abide under the Shadow of the Almighty. [The Shadow of the Lord proves He is nearby.]
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust. [Why is the Church trusting in the mainstream news media?]
3 Surely, He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence [viruses and diseases]. [The trap has been laid and people are following along like the Pied Piper.]
4 He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings shall you trust: His truth shall be your shield and buckler. [The Lord covers and protects His very own and His Word shields us from the attacks of the enemy.]
5 You shall not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flies by day; [There is no need for the True Believer to fear.]
6 Nor for the pestilence [viruses and diseases] that walks in darkness; nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday. [In Matthew 24, Jesus told us that viruses, sickness and disease would be a sign just before His return for the Church—so why panic and fear?]
7 A thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. [Do we believe this or not? I do!]
8 Only with your eyes shall you behold and see the reward of the wicked. [We are going to actually see this happen right before our very eyes.]
9 Because you have made the LORD, Who is my refuge, even the Most-High, your habitation; [This can only happen when quality time is spent with the Lord every day, then and only then can you allow Him to become your habitation.]
10 There shall no evil befall you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. [Not Covid-10, not Corona Virus etc.]
11 For He shall give His Angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. [Your God-Given Angels are at work, are you giving them their assignments by commanding the with the Word of God, or are you just kicking back hoping something good will happen?]
12 They shall bear you up in their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone. [Now we see the protection of God through His Ministering Angels at work.]
13 You shall tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shall you trample under feet. [No weapon formed against you, no sickness, no disease, no germ, and no virus shall prosper.]
14 Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he has known My Name. [Because you have set your love upon the Lord, because you have known His Name, He said He would deliver you, and set you on high!]
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. [Are you ready to give it all over to the Lord? Are you in trouble right now? Call on Him, He said He would answer you and He would be with you in your trouble, and He would deliver you and HONOR you!]
16 With long life will I satisfy him and show him My Salvation. [What we have just read, these are the Promises of God to you and me! Remember that God is not a man that He should lie! Titus 1:2, tells us that God CANNOT lie!
As I was writing this partner letter to you, the Lord gave me the words that I believe He wanted me to say to you, not only the letter itself, but after each one of these verses in Psalm 91. I have never begged for anything in my life, but now I am going to do what the Apostle Paul said so many times in his epistles, “I BESEECH YOU.” That simply means, “I BEG YOU.” What am I begging from you, you might ask? No, not for money and so many partner letters you might receive from other ministers do. I am begging you to do what Paul told the Philippian Church to do, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” I am begging you to put your trust in the Lord and quit leaning to the arm of flesh and the secular mainstream news media who want you instill you with fear and panic.
Many times, you will hear people say that God is in control. One man said, “Well if He is, He sure has gotten things in a mess.” Beloved I want to encourage that we have gotten this world in the mess that it is in, through all kinds of things we allow and permit. But God is still in control of His perfect plan for mankind and it’s all about to come to an amazing climax!
As always, I want to encourage you to stay in faith, stay in prayer, stay in the Word; and pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and remember “God loves you; we love you and JESUS IS LORD!”
In the Service of Our King,
Darrell G. Harrelson
