Since Jesus is not physically here on the earth, but seated at the Father’s right hand in Heaven, the Word takes the place of our unseen Christ! Spending time in the Word is a visit with Him. The Word must become a part of you by spending time in the Word. The Word living in us gets into our bloodstream.

Acts 19:20 tells us, “So mightily grew the Word of God and prevailed.” As this was written by Luke concerning the Apostle Paul, a revival had broken out in Ephesus and was shaking the nation. It wasn’t Paul’s preaching; it wasn’t his logic or philosophy; it was all because of the Word of God that was being preached!

Acts 12:24 says, “But the Word of God grew and multiplied.” The Word of God grew in the hearts and minds of the people. The Word had grown in their hearts and minds to the point that it had gained supremacy over them! FAITH MAKES THE WORD PREVAIL. Faith comes when the Word prevails over man’s thinking process. This is what happened in Matthew chapter 8.

Matthew 8:23-27, And when He (Jesus) entered into a ship, His Disciples followed Him. And there arose a great tempest (storm) in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but He was asleep. And His disciples came to Him, and woke Him, saying, “Lord, save us: we perish.” And He said unto them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. But the men marveled, saying, “What manner of Man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him!”

Here we see the Word prevailing on Jesus’ lips over the laws of nature. You remember that He said, “O you of little faith.” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. And the men marveled saying, “What manner of Man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?” The Word prevailed again in this same chapter.

Matthew 8:5-10, And when Jesus entered into Capernaum, there came unto Him a centurion, beseeching Him, And saying, “Lord, my servant lies at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.” And Jesus said unto him, “I will come and heal him.” The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof: but speak the Word only, and my servant shall be healed. For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this, and he does it.’” When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to them who followed, “Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.”

Here we see the Word on Jesus’ lips prevailed over the disease in the centurion’s servant. The Word on Jesus’ lips even prevailed over the law of supply and demand.

Matthew 14:12-21 says, And His Disciples came and took up the body [of John the Baptist], and buried it, and went and told Jesus. When Jesus heard of it, He departed there by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard of it, they followed Him on foot out of the cities. And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and He healed their sick. And when it was evening, His Disciples came to Him, saying, “This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.” But Jesus said unto them, “They need not depart; give you them to eat.” And they said unto Him, “We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.” He said, “Bring them here to me.” And He commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to Heaven, He blessed, and broke, and gave the loaves to His Disciples, and the Disciples to the multitude. And they did all eat and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full. And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.

We see here that the Word on Jesus’ lips prevailed and ruled over the law of what we call “supply and demand.” Five loaves and two fish multiplied, as a result of the Word, until five thousand men beside women and children were fed. Not only that, but there were twelve baskets of fragments left over. Allowing the Word to take first place in your life can and will change the circumstances in your life.

I want to encourage you to stay in faith. Stay in the Word of God every day. This is the only thing that will keep the believer in the days we are living in. Keep INCREASE ON YOUR MIND, KEEP SPEAKING INCREASE, and the right things and making the right confessions of faith. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; and remember “God loves you; we love you and JESUS IS LORD!”
