I want to wish you a VERY, MERRY CHRISTMAS! Christmas is a time we celebrate Most excellent Gift to us in the form of His Son Jesus Christ! God loves us so much, that He held nothing back and gave us His absolute best! As 2024 comes to a rapid end, there’s no better time to press into all God has for us in His Gift of Christ! As the Body of Christ—the Church—we should have a desire to be able to say what the Apostle Paul said in Philippians Chapter 3.
Beginning at verse 8 through verse 14, Paul says, “Yes doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for Whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect, but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended, but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
This Christmas season, let’s not sit around, waiting for our spiritual inheritance to appear, but let’s press into it! When the pressure is on, PRESS AND PUSH BACK on the devil and PRESS FORWARD into the anointing and apprehend all He has for us! So with that in mind, just what does He have for the Church in the New Year?
#1 FULLNESS OF JOY
John 15:11
11 “These things have I spoken unto you, that My joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.”
#2 FULLNESS OF PEACE
Philippians 4:7
7 And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
#3 ABOUNDING HOPE (EXPECTATION)
Romans 15:13
13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
#4 BOUNDLESS LOVE
Romans 8:38-39
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor Angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
These are Gods’ excellent gifts to us in Christ. Gifts for us to receive IN FULL if we have the courage to press in. Be assured that, as we celebrate Jesus with family this Christmas, Carla and I will also be thinking of YOU! And just as we do each and every day. We pray each and every one of you will receive all that the LORD has for you this season, and in the coming New Year.
I want to encourage you to stay in faith. Stay in the Word of God every day. This is the only thing that will keep the believer in the days we are living in. Keep INCREASE ON YOUR MIND, KEEP SPEAKING INCREASE, and the right things and making the right confessions of faith. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; and remember “God loves you; we love you and JESUS IS LORD!”
