July 2024

As America celebrates the 4th of July, (248 years of our nation’s freedom), I’m always reminded of the real freedom that we as Christians obtained over two thousand years ago, through our Wonderful Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.

In the Book of Acts, chapter 22, as the Apostle Paul was giving his testimony and being questioned, the chief captain asked Paul if he was a Roman, his response was “Yes”. Then the captain’s response was that with a great sum he had obtained his freedom. Then in verse 28 Paul gives an awesome response again, “…But I was born free.”

I thank God for the United States of America and the freedoms we enjoy, but because of Jesus Christ and His shed blood, we are freer than any kingdom of people because we are in the Kingdom of God.

I am thankful to God for the men and women who have given their lives for our freedom and to keep our nation free and safe, but I am more thankful for the one life that was given for you and I, that not only made us free but also keeps us free, and that’s the life of Jesus Christ!

The Apostle Paul said in Romans 8:1-2, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the Law of Sin and Death.”

I thank God that we are free from sin, sickness and disease, poverty and lack, free from man and free from the cares of this world! But it’s up to you and me to live and stay free. In order for a person to be truly free, it starts with your spirit. The human spirit is the “real you”. Your physical body is merely the house or the shell you live in.

Paul said in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed a way, behold, all things are become new.”  This new creature or creation is man’s human spirit. Because the spirit man is a new creature, he has been made free by the Blood of Jesus Christ!

Look at what Paul says in Galatians 5:1, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”

As the end of this dispensation of the Church age is quickly coming to an end, I want to encourage you to live and walk in the real freedom that Jesus Christ has made available to all of us who believe. These are exciting times we are living in, and prophetic things are happening very rapidly. I want to encourage you not to let these things frighten you, nor distract you away from the things of God, because Satan has designed them to do just that.

The news media is one of the greatest tools that Satan has designed to distract the child of God. Remember, from wars to tsunamis, from tsunamis to hurricanes, from hurricanes to earthquakes, from earthquakes to oil spills in the Gulf; these are all things to frighten you and get you distracted away from the Word of God.

When the nation of Israel was ready to enter into the Promised Land, God told them not to fear because He was with them. Well child of God, I want you to know that no matter what you might be facing right at this very moment, “FEAR NOT, BECAUSE GOD IS WITH YOU!”

Throughout the Scriptures God is constantly reminding us not to fear because He is with us. I am always reminded of what Jesus said in Luke 21:28,  “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”

Stand up right where you are and say out loud, “I AM FREE FROM FEAR IN JESUS’ NAME!” Now didn’t that just feel good? Then do it again and again and again.

I want to encourage you to stay in faith. Stay in the Word of God every day. This is the only thing that will keep the believer in the days we are living in. Keep INCREASE ON YOUR MIND, KEEP SPEAKING INCREASE, and the right things and making the right confessions of faith. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; and remember “God loves you; we love you and JESUS IS LORD!”
