The Bible says in Psalm 112:1-2, “Praise you the LORD. Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who delights greatly in His Commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon Earth, the generation of the upright shall be blessed.”
Within these verses, the Lord assures us of the security of those who are Godly. There is a reason to walk with God, a reason to read the Bible and pray. God says that He will bless your children, even if they are no longer under your roof. As we walk with God, continue faithfully in prayer, stay in the Word by reading and studying and doing what the Scripture says, you will soon realize that God is not limited as we are.
In Psalm 112:6-7 the Word says, “Surely, He shall not be moved forever, the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance. He shall not be afraid of evil tidings, his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.
For those seeking the Lord, freedom from fear will be a heritage. Those who are right with God will not and should never be afraid of whatever comes on the news or happens in the world around them. When Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James went to the tomb after Jesus was crucified, an earthquake had just occurred, and an Angel of the Lord had rolled away the stone from the entrance to the tomb. When this happened, the Bible tells us the “guards shook with fear when they saw him, and they fell into a dead faint”.
Matthew 28:4 says, “And for fear of Him the keepers did shake and became as dead men.” But notice what happened next! The two Marys heard the voice of the Angel speaking to them. Verse 5 says, “And the Angel answered and said unto the women, ‘Fear not you, for I know that you seek Jesus, Who was crucified.’ ”
I believe the same thing will happen in our day as people shake in fear, as they witness great calamities on the Earth. Those who have chosen to follow God will be able to hear and believe as the Lord speaks to them: “Don’t fear because I know you seek Jesus.” I believe every Believer comes to a point of decision where he or she determines to go all the way with God, a decision that affects the rest of their life. If there is sin in your life, get rid of it quickly! Instead make the choice today to say, “I will not justify wrong in my life. By the Grace of God, I am going to trust Him for the power to finish this journey in victory, in Jesus’ Name.”
I believe in the days we’re living; this is the time to seek the Lord more than ever. When we look at Hebrews 11: 6, we ordinarily always talk about faith, but it’s also important to look at the latter part of that verse as well.
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them who diligently seek Him.”
God is a rewarder of them who diligently SEEK Him! Those who seek the Lord will hunger and thirst and crave for more of the Lord and every day that walk with Him. In Psalm 34:10, it says, “The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger, but they who seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.” What a wonderful Promise from the Word. I want to encourage you to seek the Lord like never before. These are trying times, but God Promises He will see His people through them.
As always, I want to encourage to stay in faith, stay in prayer, stay in the Word; and pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and remember “God loves you; we love you and JESUS IS LORD!”
