During times of upheaval, we become more aware of prophetic events unfolding and the fast approaching coming of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. When there is peace and prosperity, people don’t think about it quite as much. It doesn’t change the fact that God has allotted a certain number of days to eras of time here on Earth and when the clock runs out—that’s it. Nothing can change that! The Tic-Tic-Tic of the clock hasn’t stopped. God told Abraham that his descendants would be foreigners in another land and that they would be held in oppression and slavery for 400 years, and afterward leave with many possessions.
And the Lord said unto Abram, “Know of a surety that your seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred (400) years. And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.” (Genesis 15:13-14)
This was fulfilled exactly to the day as Moses records it in Exodus 12:40. “Now the sojourning of the Children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.” God’s time clock is EXACT! We’re given information throughout the Bible on the specifics of these time frames. There is a 6000-year period before the 1000-year millennial reign of Jesus Christ here on Earth. This is called the “6000-year Earth Lease.” When the lease is up—Satan and all of his cohorts lose their right of access until a short season at the end of the millennial reign. But just before this 6000-year Earth Lease expires, there will be exactly seven years of Tribulation. Right now, we can hear the prophetic time clock of God ticking!
How many ticks until it stops? We don’t know exactly where we are, but we are closer that we have ever been! Where the world hears fear in the Tic-Tic-Tic, we hear a party coming! Believe me, those who don’t belong to the Lord have an inner knowing in their spirit, or a sense that time is running out. Where they are fearful, we are joyful, looking forward to being with Jesus.
Exodus 12:42 tells us, “It is a night to be much observed unto the LORD for bringing them out from the Land of Egypt: this is that night of the LORD to be observed of all the Children of Israel in their generations.”
The Lord Himself kept vigil over His people that night, as a parent watches and keeps vigil over a child at night who might be ill; watching and waiting to bring whatever is needed, lovingly caring for that child. In this manner, the Lord Himself went before the Children of Israel in the form of a cloud by day! Then a pillar of fire by night to protect them and bring them to their destination. This was called the “Shekinah Glory or Presence!” I believe the Lord Himself is watching over His Church, His people, that’s you and me, during this time.
David said in Psalm 121:4, “Behold, He Who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.” God is not asleep during this time. He is watching over you to protect and keep you. As they did on the Passover, you and I need to go inside and feed on the Lamb—The Word of God, It will strengthen you and energize you!
The Apostle Paul said in 1 Thessalonians 4:16, “For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the Voice of the Archangel, and with the Trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.” Caught up together to meet the Lord in the air! What great hope we have! Keep your eyes on Jesus. Look unto Him, the Author and Finisher of our faith.
The Apostle John said in Revelation 21:3-4, “And I heard a Great Voice out of Heaven saying, Behold, the Tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His People, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
Imagine! God’s Shekinah Presence living with us. The holy Spirit within us is a seal, but in that day, not only will His Holy Spirit be within us, but His manifested Presence will live with us, surrounding us, in every part of our being. Every tick of God’s Prophetic Time Clock brings us closer to that day!
God is not finished with you, so whatever you do, don’t give up, don’t cave in, and don’t quit! God will keep His Word and His Covenant to you. I also want to encourage you to spend time each and every day, praying in the Holy Spirit. Stay in faith. Stay in the Word. Keep speaking the right things and making the right confessions of faith. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; and remember “God loves you, we love you and JESUS IS LORD!”
