Last month as we began a New Year, I shared with you the theme I believe the Lord has given us for 2019, and that is expecting greater manifestations of God’s glory, which includes His presence, His power and His goodness. As I closed in our previous letter, I told you we would look at what happens when God’s presence shows up on your scene.
In Luke 5:17, the Bible tells us, “…And it came to pass on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, who came out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.”
When God’s presence shows up, His power shows up as well! And when His power is present, His healing power shows up! Miracles show up! What is interesting here in this passage is that the Bible tells us “…and the power of the Lord was present to heal them!” Isn’t it interesting that even though the power of the Lord was present to heal all of them, the only one that was healed was the man on the bed that his friends had let down from the rooftop above, so they could get him to Jesus.
The Bible teaches us that God is “No respecter of person”. That simply means that God is not moved by a person’s sincerity but by their faith! You and I are to expect even greater glory than we have ever experienced before in our Christian walk.
In Brother Kenneth E. Hagin’s book “Tongues, Beyond the Upper Room,” Brother Hagin tells us what the Lord Jesus Christ told him that there would be a “New Wave of Glory” in the last days. The Lord said it this way, “…A new wave is coming and I will visit the hungry heart!” The Lord wants you and I who are hungry for more of Him to taste of Him. What do you do when you get hungry? You eat! When you eat, you also taste the food you are eating.
In Psalm 34:8, the Psalmist said, “O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that’s trusts in Him!” Have you ever taken the time to think about the food you eat and taste? When you stop and really taste the food you are eating and you like it, you probably want more of it! You even begin to hunger for it and you will crave it! I believe a new door has opened for the Church and those of us who are expecting and hungering for greater manifestations of God’s glory will be visited!
In closing I want to encourage you to hunger for more of God and His glory, expect greater manifestations of God’s glory, stay in faith, stay in prayer, stay in the Word and pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and remember God loves you; we love you and JESUS IS LORD!”
