Have you ever wanted to experience the abundant life that Jesus promised here? Like we have already learned, we don’t need any more promises from God. What we need is to become established in those promises that we know we already have. But what we are going to have to do is learn to change our thought process or our mind-set. Jesus promised us in John 10:10, “…I have come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” In order to experience this abundant life that He promised, we must do what Jesus did. Jesus kept His mindset on everything the Father had promised Him and that is the mindset that must have as well.

In Philippians 2:5-6, Paul tells us about this mindset, he says, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God.” Jesus knew that He was the Son of God, because He always referred to God as His Father. That is exactly how we should think. Too many Christians today never refer to God as their Father, but as God way out in space somewhere. But actually He, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are all Three living inside of your spirit, yes they are as near as your next breath!

Proverbs 23:7 says, “…as a man thinks in his heart, so is he…” If you believe and think in your heart that you are an overcomer, in Christ, then you will act like an overcomer, and you will become an overcomer. Too many Christians are overcome and not overcomers. You can have victory in every area of your life. When our thoughts are filled with victory, our actions and experiences will be filled with victory, so all of the glory will go to God! God has promised to lead us into victory in every area of life. If you spend time fellowshipping with God through prayer, studying and reading the Bible every day, then you will discover the champion in you. It is vitally important that we think the way that God thinks.

The only ways you can begin to think the way God thinks is to put the Word in you! The Father tells us in Isaiah 55:8-9, “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the LORD. For as the Heavens are higher than the Earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.” Notice God says His ways and thoughts are not ours. But really what God is saying here is that His ways and His thoughts should and can and should be our ways and our thoughts.

In First Corinthians 2:9-10, Paul says, “But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him. But God has revealed them to us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.” No man has ever seen, heard, or even imagined the wonderful things God has in store for those who love the Lord. But Paul says in verse 10 that God has revealed them to us by His Spirit. No matter where you are in your life right this moment, God wants to take you to new levels in every area of your life. He wants to give you more wisdom so you can make better decisions. He wants to give you a strong anointing so you can have greater influence on others. He wants His blessings to come on you and overtake you so you can be a blessing to others. Whatever you do today, don’t get stuck in the same old rut—there’s so much more in this life! God has new frontiers for you with great confidence that the best days of your life are right in front of you! So begin today to think the way God thinks.

The Bible says in Proverbs 4:18, “The path of the righteous is as the shining light, that shines more and more.” Begin to think increase…think big…think expanse! Start expecting the unexpected and look at life through your eyes of faith. When you do, God will show up and begin to work things out in your favor.

No matter what you may be facing today, I want to encourage yourself in the Lord like David, stay in faith, stay in prayer, stay in the Word every day, make you daily confession, pray in the spirit for our nation, our leaders, and all who are in authority, pray for the peace of Jerusalem; and remember “God loves you; we love you and JESUS IS LORD!”
